We lost our shooting spot down in Coolidge, the city annexed the property.

We have a person with cerebral palsy living with us. He can shoot and actually loves it but the style is pretty unorthodox. Of course it's safe, we just don't want to get a lot of undue attention from the range masters.

I also prefer shooting in the desert where I can practice double taps and draw and fire.

Anyone have a spot they would like to share?

Thanks

We tried the Casa Grande range last week, it's not bad at all. It is unsupervised (at least that's what the sign says) and there are places to be off by yourself.

There is a small basic range with shade and tables. There are also a few rows of burms where you can pull off an shoot on your own. You need to bring all your own stuff, targets, stands and what ever.

I can get some pictures next time out if anyone's interested.

Head up the 17 out past Anthem and get off at Table Mesa.

That's a map I drew-up for a meet I hosted there. Just take the dirt road north/northwest and there's a whole slew of places off to the side of the road - which is 10 or so miles long. Many are wheelchair accessible without any trouble. The best way to find them is to look for shell-casings and destroyed computers/car parts.

There are a lot of 4WD trails in this area, so watch your background.

Hope this helps!
