I had the opportunity to attend this class at Langhorne Rod & Gun Club and New Holland Gun Club this weekend. Freddy and Mike did an absolutely fantastic job with this. I am an absolute novice precision rifle shooter and I had no idea what to expect in regards to how well I would do. I had read the instructions that came with my high end scope numerous times and still had not grasped the concept of how it worked.                                                                                                                            Day 1 at Langhorne, Freddy and Mike's classroom discussion was excellent, they cut right to the chase; giving us a very practical working primer on the skills necessary to understand and use our equipment. We then sighted in our rifles and did a series of drills at 100 and 200 yards to prime us for Sundays work at New Holland, where there is a 600 yard range.
Day 2 was a blast. Targets at 300, 400, 500 and 600 yards; both paper and steel. Movers at 300 and then at 600 yards. Yeah, one can get hits on moving targets 600 yards away.
I would highly recommend that anyone who would like to try their hand at long range shooting take some training with these guys. More experienced shooters would also do well to look into furthering their skills with these two. These people know their stuff but more importantly; they can teach it. I cannot say enough about the level of professionalism these two exhibited. Both of them were constantly up and down the line of students coaching, giving individual instruction, pointers and encouragement. All of this was done in a safe relaxed atmosphere which all of the students I spoke with enjoyed tremendously.

2 Ranges in 1 weekend?  That's pretty cool.

I agree with Dick's review of the course 100%. We actually shot next to each other most of the course on Sunday. I have shot a fair amount with my rig at Langhorne out to 200Yds. Was a little unsure of my ability to reach out to 600yds. and make hits. It can be done with about 1/2 day of instruction. We were all hitting at the 300Y range on both the moving and stationary targets! Very exciting and a lot of fun.

Mike and Freddy can do it. More importantly Mike and Freddy can teach. That's an important skill in an instructor. They do it in a low key and friendly manner and that puts everyone at ease. Red Meat was the phrase of the day. Look for the Red Meat in the training material not the garnish. Plenty of red meat served up in this class. (along with Mrs. Fargo's excellent baked Ziti!)

For those who have trained with Freddy before ,in other classes ,I can report that both days were beautiful, sunny and warm. Absolutely perfect weather.  My rain gear and hat stayed in the trunk of the car. The cycle of raining and training is broken and hopefully it stays that way.
