If you have a question about why an entry is missing from my list but shows up on someone else’s list, check the actual promoter’s website instead of just looking at a compiled show listing.  I cross-check listings and use the promoter's website listing to verify any discrepancies in the cross-check.

Always check with the promoter to verify there has not been a change or cancellation if you plan to travel any significant distance for a Gun Show.

Texas Gun Shows

• If you live within the jurisdiction of Austin Police Department you should be aware that the APD (mis?)used the TX Nuisance Abatement laws to shut down an Austin gun show.  Based on a handful of arrests related to illegal firearm sales (not a valid offense under the TX State Nuisance Abatement laws) in 2009, they began nuisance abatement proceedings against the venue (effectively threatening the property owner with the seizure of the property).  The result was that the venue cancelled the agreement with the gun show promoter.  The promoter has since found another venue but there’s nothing preventing the APD from staging a repeat performance.
